Toronto Evangeline Residence has presented a need for 90 winter care packages by December 17 as Christmas blessings for their residents.
Sponsor one or more winter care packages at $30 each. Consider it as sparing $1/day for a month for good cause. You can easily do it. And that’s all you have to do. We will be your hands-and-feet – sourcing, packaging, and delivering for you.
WINTER CARE PACKAGES
Each package contains a list of items requested by the shelter as basic care items for the women.

A little background info about Evangeline Residence:
Evangeline Residence, the second largest women’s shelter in the City of Toronto, is a 90-bed, clean and safe residence that assists homeless women experiencing various personal issues (domestic violence, mental health, addiction, financial difficulties, newly immigrating, etc.) that have left them without a permanent home. During their stay, residents are provided with a supportive environment that frees them from the worry of basic needs, so they have the opportunity to examine their life challenges from a position of strength and hope. The shelter program offers counselling, advocacy, support of personal goals, daily personal needs (nutritious meals, laundry, bed and bath, transportation, clothing), library, arts, and life skills to help them stand back on their feet. http://www.torontohhs.org/shelters/evangeline-residence/

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. We do not make money out of this. It’s purely a charity initiative that we hope we bring to your awareness and encourage your participation. We are sitting at 36 packages as of this posting, roughly 2/3 more to go.
2. This is a sample package. The colours of materials included will not be exact. It depends on the available stocks since each item is sourced locally, not by online wholesale order. We check each material personally to make sure they are as best quality as possible.
3. Final look for the care packages. All items will be neatly packed into the box for easy transportation and storage. Odd shaped packaging for gift baskets are hard to store.
